The Discipline Inspection Commission of China Paper Industry Holds a Special Democratic Life Meeting on the Theme Education Campaign of “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind”

On August 29, in accordance with the requirements of the “Implementation Plan for the ‘Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind’ Thematic Education Campaign of the Discipline Inspection Commission of China Chengtong,” and with the approval of the Group’s Discipline Inspection Commission, the Discipline Inspection Commission of China Paper Industry convened a special democratic life meeting on thematic education for its members. The meeting was chaired by Ji Shumming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of China Paper Industry, and attended by members of the company’s Discipline Inspection Commission; members of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office (Inspection Office) were present as observers. During the meeting, the members of the Discipline Inspection Commission, in light of the overarching requirements of the thematic education campaign—“upholding our original aspiration and shouldering our mission, identifying gaps and ensuring effective implementation”—focused on the “four comparisons” and the “four areas of self-reflection,” examining their performance in theoretical study, ideological and political awareness, work and entrepreneurship, and service to the people.

On August 21, the Party Committee of China Paper Industry convened a special democratic life meeting on the theme of “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind.” Zhu Yue, Vice President of China Chengtong and a member of the Leading Group for the Thematic Education Campaign, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Huang Xin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Paper Industry, presided over the meeting. The Party Committee of China Paper Industry Holds a Symposium on the Exchange of Findings from the Thematic Education Campaign on “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind”

To solidly advance the thematic education campaign on “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind,” the company’s Party Committee convened a symposium on the exchange of research findings on August 9. The meeting was chaired by Huang Xin, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board, and Head of the Leading Group for the Thematic Education Campaign. Members of the company’s leadership team each shared their respective research findings. The First Touring Guidance Team of the Group Party Committee attended the meeting to provide guidance. To ensure the quality of the research findings from the thematic education campaign, members of the company’s leadership team went deep into the grassroots level, conducting on-site symposiums, distributing survey questionnaires, and holding individual interviews, with a particular focus on: the political and leadership roles of Party organizations; the building of grassroots organizations; and the standardization of intra-Party political practices.

Guiding High-Quality Enterprise Development through High-Quality Party Building—The Party Committee of China Paper Industry Holds the Seventh Collective Study and Discussion Session on Thematic Education and the First-Half-Year Party-Building Work Conference

On August 2, the Party Committee of China Paper Industry conducted the seventh centralized study and discussion session on the thematic education campaign “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind,” as well as the first-half-year Party-building work conference. The meeting conveyed and studied the July 30 meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the Notice issued by the Leading Group for the Thematic Education Campaign “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind” on earnestly studying the history of the Party and the history of New China during the campaign, the first-half-year operational analysis meeting of China Chengtong, and the spirit of the remarks delivered by Zhu Bixin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group, during his inspection tour of Galaxy Paper Industry. Zhu Bixin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Chengtong, Conducts a Special Research Visit to Galaxy Paper on the Theme Education Campaign of “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind”

To further advance the thematic education campaign on “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind,” on July 31, 2019, Zhu Bixin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Chengtong as well as Head of the Leading Group for the Thematic Education Campaign, made a special trip to Yinhe Paper, a subsidiary of China Paper in Linqing, Shandong Province, to conduct a focused research visit on the campaign. Members of the Group Party Committee’s First Touring Guidance Team for the Thematic Education Campaign, along with Huang Xin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Paper, General Manager Zhang Qiang, and Yinhe Paper General Manager Li Liangying, also attended the visit. Zhu Bixin listened separately to reports from Huang Xin and Li Liangying on the thematic education campaign at China Paper and Yinhe Paper, as well as on the companies’ production and operational performance in the first half of the year and their key priorities for the second half.

China Chengtong Successfully Holds Training Session for the Launch of Its “Three Major Matters and One Significant Issue” Decision-Making System

On July 25–26, the launch training session for China Chengtong’s “Three Major Matters and One Significant Issue” decision-making system was held in Beijing. The training was organized by China Paper. Zhu Xiaozheng, Director of the Group President’s Office and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China Paper, delivered the opening address. The meeting emphasized the need to elevate our perspective, clearly define the powers, responsibilities, and working methods of Party organizations at each stage—decision-making, implementation, and oversight—and ensure that the Party committee’s gatekeeping and directional guidance are coordinated with the board of directors’ and management team’s scientific decision-making, thereby standardizing the decision-making process for “Three Major Matters and One Significant Issue.” It also stressed the importance of leveraging the “Three Major Matters and One Significant Issue” system to promote scientific and democratic decision-making on major matters, achieve comprehensive oversight of such matters, and enhance the effectiveness of supervision.
