Zhu Yue, Vice President of China Chengtong, Attends the Special Democratic Life Meeting on the Theme Education of “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind” Held by the Party Committee of China Paper

On August 21, the Party Committee of China Paper Industry convened a special democratic life meeting on the theme of “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind.” Zhu Yue, Vice President of China Chengtong and a member of the Leading Group for the Thematic Education Campaign, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting was chaired by Huang Xin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Paper Industry. The First Touring Guidance Team of the Group’s Party Committee was present to provide guidance, while members of the company’s Party and administrative leadership team and assistant general managers participated, and the heads of the various touring guidance teams attended as observers.

The Party Committee of China Paper Industry has attached great importance to the special democratic life meeting on thematic education. It has thoroughly studied Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the report to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the Party Constitution and Party regulations, as well as the important speech delivered by the General Secretary at the Central Conference on Thematic Education on “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind.” In accordance with the arrangements made by the Party Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and the Party Committee of China Chengtong Holding Group, and in light of the overarching requirements of the thematic education—“uphold our original aspiration and mission, identify gaps, and ensure effective implementation”—the leading members of the Party leadership team have extensively solicited opinions and suggestions, conducted in-depth heart-to-heart talks, and, guided by the requirements of “four comparisons” and “four self-examinations,” rigorously and thoroughly identified problems and analyzed their root causes from five aspects: theoretical study, ideological and political awareness, dedication to work and entrepreneurship, service to the people, and integrity and clean governance. On this basis, they have formulated corrective measures and prepared both the collective inspection and analysis report and individual speaking outlines for each member of the leadership team.

Huang Xin, on behalf of the company’s leadership team, delivered a self-examination and analysis report, outlining the rectification measures implemented in response to the previous year’s democratic life meeting, summarizing the achievements attained since the launch of the thematic education campaign, and providing a comprehensive overview of the learning and discussion activities as well as the solicitation of opinions conducted throughout the campaign. He then conducted a thorough analysis of the problems that remain, deeply reflected on their root causes, and proposed specific corrective measures. Subsequently, each member of the leadership team closely aligned their individual remarks with the theme, rigorously examined their own shortcomings, engaged in earnest self-criticism, and courageously exposed their weaknesses and flaws. The mutual criticism among leadership team members was serious, candid, and grounded in reality, effectively focusing on key issues, prompting frank exchanges that led to “red faces and sweating,” and achieving the desired effect of identifying and addressing underlying problems.

In his concluding remarks, Zhu Yue pointed out that the Party Committee of China Paper Industry attached great importance to this special democratic life meeting and made thorough preparations. The meeting stayed closely aligned with the theme and focused on key issues, with the leading team and individual members staying true to their original aspirations, shouldering their mission, identifying gaps, and ensuring effective implementation—thus conducting a comprehensive political “health check.” The candid and rigorous criticism and self-criticism demonstrated a willingness to tackle tough problems head-on, resulting in a high-quality meeting that ushered in a fresh new atmosphere and achieved the expected outcomes. Looking ahead, Zhu Yue expressed the hope that the Party Committee of China Paper Industry will, in the context of the thematic education campaign, further deepen the integrated development of Party building and production and business operations, promote “embedding” and rigorously pursue “integration,” and focus on resolving the “pain points” in the enterprise’s Party-building work. Specifically, he emphasized the following three priorities: first, continuously deepening the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; second, consistently following up on the rectification of issues identified after the special democratic life meeting and establishing long-term mechanisms for identifying and resolving problems; and third, maintaining a vigorous spirit of dedication and entrepreneurship at all times to drive the enterprise’s reform, development, and Party-building efforts to new heights.

In his statement, Huang Xin stated that the Party Committee of China Paper will strictly adhere to the requirements of the Group Party Committee and the guidance team, focusing on consolidating the outcomes of the thematic education campaign. The committee will make all-out efforts to ensure thorough rectification and implementation of identified problems, refine and improve specific measures, and effectively leverage problem rectification as a key lever for solidifying the achievements of the thematic education. He also urged the members of the leading team to rigorously oversee the evaluation of the thematic education within their respective areas of responsibility, closely aligning with General Secretary Xi Jinping’s “four aspects in place” requirements, and ensuring that all related tasks are carried out in a solid, high-quality, and effective manner.
