The Party Committee of China Paper Industry Holds a Symposium on the Exchange of Findings from the Thematic Education Campaign on “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind”

To solidly advance the thematic education campaign on “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind,” the company’s Party Committee convened a symposium on the exchange of research findings on August 9. The meeting was chaired by Huang Xin, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman, and Head of the Leading Group for the Thematic Education Campaign. Members of the company’s leadership team each shared their respective research findings. The First Touring Guidance Team of the Group’s Party Committee attended the meeting to provide guidance.

To ensure the quality of the outcomes from the thematic education–focused research, members of the company’s leadership team conducted in-depth field investigations at the grassroots level. Through on-site symposiums, surveys, and individual interviews, they concentrated on the following key areas: the political and leadership roles of Party organizations; the building of grassroots organizations and the standardization of intra-Party political life; the development of democratic centralism and the implementation of transparency in enterprise affairs; opinions and suggestions regarding the Party Committee and the leadership team at headquarters; the rectification and implementation of issues identified through inspection tours, audits, Party-building assessments, and comprehensive evaluations of leading personnel; the pressing challenges currently facing the company and the corresponding solutions; as well as the company’s exemplary practices and notable highlights in the course of this thematic education campaign.

To ensure that the special research initiative addresses practical issues, the Party Committee of the company has conducted seven centralized study and discussion sessions on the theme of “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind,” held multiple meetings to deploy this thematic education, and, taking the semi-annual Party-building work conference as an opportunity, organized a special symposium. Starting with issues that directly affect the enterprise’s reform and development as well as the immediate interests of employees, the committee has extensively solicited opinions and collected suggestions, fostering coordinated efforts across all levels to create a powerful synergy. To date, the leadership teams at both the headquarters of China Paper and its subsidiaries have completed grassroots field investigations and delivered specialized Party lectures. Through these investigations, nearly 200 problems have been identified, collated, and thoroughly examined across the entire China Paper system.

The meeting emphasized the need to thoroughly review and analyze the problems identified during grassroots surveys, the opinions and suggestions solicited, and the proposed corrective measures. It called for the continued, rigorous implementation of targeted rectification efforts under the thematic education campaign, incorporating all such issues and feedback into these initiatives. Issues that can be promptly addressed should be rectified immediately; for those requiring long-term remediation or sustained implementation, specific action plans must be formulated, with clearly defined milestones and assigned responsible individuals. In particular, with regard to problems raised by grassroots units that require the company’s assistance, members of the leading team shall, in accordance with their respective areas of responsibility, take the lead in conducting thorough research and providing swift responses, thereby ensuring that the outcomes of the surveys are effectively translated into a powerful driving force for high-quality Party building that, in turn, guides the enterprise toward high-quality development.

The meeting emphasized that, in carrying out the thematic education campaign, it is essential to continue strengthening study and education to truly promote the widespread understanding and effective implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era within the company; to rigorously organize and conduct targeted rectification efforts to ensure that identified salient problems are thoroughly addressed; and for Party organizations at all levels to meticulously prepare for and convene special democratic life meetings (or organizational life meetings), while also conscientiously conducting evaluations and summaries to guarantee the effectiveness of the thematic education.
