Huang Xin, Chairman of China Paper, Visits Zhuhai Hongta Renheng to Inspect the Sludge-Based Renewable Energy Project

On the afternoon of November 3, Huang Xin, Chairman of China Paper, visited Zhuhai Hongta Renheng Company to engage in management discussions with mid- and senior-level executives, followed by a site inspection of the company’s wastewater treatment center. The visit was accompanied by Ren Xiaoping, General Manager of the company, as well as Xu Bin, Director of the Production Division and the Safety and Environmental Protection Department.

Chairman Huang Xin conducted an on-site inspection of the operation of the sludge-based renewable energy project, thoroughly inquiring about the production process for generating energy from sludge, whether it might introduce new environmental pollution factors, and the co-firing practices. He also listened to a briefing from the head of the operating entity on the approval status of the environmental impact assessment for the sludge-based renewable energy project, as well as on the project’s development prospects.

Director Huang emphasized that Hongta Renheng must strengthen its sense of responsibility, proactively assume social responsibilities, and lead the industry in pursuing green development and advancing environmental protection technologies. In terms of environmental protection investments, the company must adhere to high standards; management at all levels should gradually shift their mindset from viewing environmental protection as a mere expense to recognizing it as a key source of competitive advantage. Furthermore, the company should steadily advance its environmental management efforts, contribute to ecological and environmental conservation, achieve win-win outcomes for both environmental protection and development, and put into practice the ecological philosophy that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.”
