The Party Committee of China Paper Industry Holds a Special Video Conference on Handling Letters and Visits and Maintaining Stability

　　On the morning of August 30, the Party Committee of China Paper Industry convened a special video conference on handling public complaints and maintaining stability. Zhu Xiaozheng, Deputy Secretary of the Company’s Party Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Members of the Headquarters Stability Maintenance Office, leaders in charge of complaint-handling and stability-maintenance work at the company’s invested enterprises, heads of the relevant departments responsible for such work, and designated officials directly involved in the day-to-day implementation of these tasks also attended the meeting.

　　The meeting conveyed the spirit of the Group’s special conference on petitioning and stability maintenance, summarized and analyzed the petitioning and stability-maintenance work across all platforms, and set forth specific requirements for such work in the second half of the year.

　　Zhu Xiaozheng pointed out that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and ensuring effective handling of public complaints and petitions while maintaining social stability is a central guiding principle that runs throughout the entire year and constitutes an overriding political task. First, we must strengthen organizational leadership and raise ideological awareness. Second, we must refine emergency response plans and enhance information reporting. Third, we must ensure adequate staffing for maintaining stability and improve the professional competence of personnel. By further enhancing our capacity to resolve issues related to public complaints and petitions and to uphold social stability, we can prevent and defuse conflicts and disputes at their source, thereby effectively fostering a harmonious and stable social environment.
