Huaxin Packaging’s Mobilization Meeting for the “Stay True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind” Thematic Education — Comprehensive Study, In-Depth Research, Extensive Discussion, and Large-Scale Action

　　To thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the work conference on the thematic education campaign “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind,” and to earnestly carry out the arrangements and requirements set forth at the SASAC’s work conference on this campaign, the Party Committee of Huaxin Packaging convened a promotion meeting on July 16 for the “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind” thematic education—featuring extensive study, in-depth research, broad-based discussions, and vigorous action. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Hong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection. More than 110 participants attended, including all Party members of Huaxin Packaging and mid- to senior-level managers from its subsidiaries.

　　To begin, Comrade Ren Xiaoping, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Huaxin Packaging, led all party members in reiterating their oath of admission to the Party. At the same time, the company recognized its outstanding Communist Party members, outstanding party affairs workers, and advanced primary-level party organizations for 2018. Comrade Ren Xiaoping, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Huaxin Packaging, presented awards to those honored as “Outstanding Communist Party Members” and “Outstanding Party Affairs Workers,” while Comrade Li Fei, Deputy General Manager of Huaxin Packaging and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Hongta Renheng, presented awards to the recipients of the “Advanced Primary-Level Party Organization” title.

　　Subsequently, Comrade Zhang Hong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of Huaxin Packaging, briefed the attendees on the “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind” thematic education plan, the organizational structure, and the schedule for study sessions.

　　Subsequently, Comrade Ren Xiaoping, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Huaxin Packaging, conveyed the spirit of the Group’s and China Paper Headquarters’ work conference on thematic education, and outlined the plans for the subsequent implementation and execution of the thematic education campaign.

　　Ren Xiaoping pointed out: First, we must recognize, from the perspective of upholding political principles, the profound significance of this thematic education campaign and ensure that it is carried out in a down-to-earth, pragmatic manner with thorough implementation. Second, with the goals of turning losses into profits and achieving high-quality development for the company, we must effectively implement all specific tasks related to the thematic education. Third, centering on the initiatives of “extensive study, extensive research, extensive discussion, and extensive action,” we must comprehensively integrate the “three, five, four” reform and development logical framework put forward by the higher-level Party committee into every stage of the thematic education activities.

　　Finally, Xi Jinping emphasized three points of work discipline: ① resolutely guard against formalism; ② ensure adequate study time and high-quality learning, and oppose superficiality, exaggeration, and empty rhetoric; ③ improve the evaluation and assessment system.

　　At the conclusion of the meeting, participants watched the documentary “The Only Path Forward.” Centered on the theme that reform and opening-up is the only path for upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics, the film offers a panoramic review of the 40-year journey of reform and opening-up. Through stirring and moving stories set against a backdrop of momentous historical changes, it unfolds a magnificent epic of the nation’s relentless striving and progress, profoundly revealing that socialism with Chinese characteristics is rooted in the long-term struggle of our Party and has been achieved through the arduous efforts, sacrifices, and sustained exploration of the Party and the people. The film forcefully underscores that reform and opening-up is the pivotal move that has determined the destiny of contemporary China—and that it is also the crucial step for realizing the Two Centenary Goals and achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
