Huang Xin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Paper Industry, attended the special democratic life meeting on the theme of “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind” held by the Party Committee of Huaxin Packaging.

　　In accordance with the Central Committee’s “Notice on Holding High-Quality Special Democratic Life Meetings on ‘Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind’ in the First Batch of Units Engaged in Thematic Education” and the relevant requirements of the Party Committees of China Chengtong and China Paper, the Party Committee of Huaxin Packaging convened a special democratic life meeting on the theme of “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind” on the afternoon of August 21. Huang Xin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Paper, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, while Ren Xiaoping, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Huaxin Packaging, presided over the meeting. The First Touring Guidance Group of the Company’s Party Committee was present to provide guidance, and members of the Party and administrative leadership teams of Huaxin Packaging attended the meeting.

　　This special democratic life meeting was convened on the basis of in-depth study and discussion, extensive solicitation of opinions, earnest heart-to-heart talks, and a systematic review of problems identified through study and discussion, compared with the Party Constitution and Party regulations, uncovered during investigative research, reported by staff and the general public, pointed out in heart-to-heart conversations, and detected through targeted rectification efforts. Prior to the meeting, the leading body and its members, firmly focusing on studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, set their sights on five specific objectives—gaining solid results in theoretical study, undergoing ideological and political cleansing, daring to take responsibility in work and entrepreneurship, solving practical problems in serving the people, and setting an example of integrity and clean governance—and, in accordance with General Secretary Xi Jinping’s requirements for “four comparisons” and “four introspections,” thoroughly examined the problems existing within themselves, deeply analyzed the root causes of these problems, formulated measures for rectification and implementation, and prepared both the leading body’s self-examination and analysis report and individual speaking outlines for each member of the leading body.

　　At the meeting, Comrade Ren Xiaoping reported on the preparations for this special democratic life meeting. Zhang Hong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of Huaxin Packaging, briefed the attendees on the recent progress in the thematic education campaign. Subsequently, on behalf of the Party Committee of Huaxin Packaging, Ren Xiaoping conducted a thorough self-examination and analysis, covering the implementation of corrective measures from last year’s democratic life meeting, the preparation for this special democratic life meeting, the achievements attained through the thematic education campaign, existing problems, and proposed rectification measures. The other members of the leading team, drawing on the opinions and suggestions collected prior to the meeting, as well as the results of focused study sessions and candid conversations, conducted individual self-examinations and analyses—based on their own work and ideological realities—focusing on such areas as theoretical study, ideological and political awareness, dedication to work and entrepreneurship, care for employees, integrity and clean governance, and efforts to stem losses and turn around losses. On the basis of comparing themselves with the Party Constitution and Party regulations to identify gaps, and in accordance with the requirement of “looking in the mirror, straightening one’s attire, taking a cleansing bath, and treating illnesses,” each member of the leading team, driven by a strong spirit of self-revolution and a highly responsible attitude toward the Party, the cause, their colleagues, and themselves, boldly engaged in criticism and self-criticism.

　　In his concluding remarks, Huang Xin pointed out that this special democratic life meeting was closely centered on studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, aligned with the five objectives of the thematic education campaign, and conducted in accordance with the requirements of “four comparisons” and “four areas of self-reflection.” The meeting demonstrated profound ideological awareness, thorough pre-meeting preparations, and well-organized proceedings. Participants were able to examine themselves, their responsibilities, and their work, drawing on their actual duties and starting with the areas under their purview to identify, pinpoint, and substantiate existing problems, while conducting a thorough analysis of the root causes. The criticism exchanged went to the very core of ideological issues, characterized by sincere attitudes and a willingness to engage in self-examination and expose shortcomings, thereby achieving the desired effects of “blushing and sweating” as a form of detoxification and healing, and fulfilling the goal of “unity—criticism—unity.” As a result, the special democratic life meeting delivered the expected outcomes.

　　Huang Xin put forward several requirements for the next phase of work: First, unswervingly uphold the Party’s leadership over state-owned enterprises, comprehensively strengthen Party leadership and Party building, give full play to the leading role of enterprise Party organizations, and ensure that they serve as a solid bastion for “setting the direction, overseeing the overall situation, and ensuring effective implementation.” Second, continuously intensify theoretical study, regarding the sustained and in-depth study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as a major political task, consolidating and expanding the achievements of the thematic education campaign, and further translating these learning outcomes into enhanced Party spirit, improved capabilities, better conduct, and stronger momentum for advancing work. Third, thoroughly resolve the problem of the disconnect between Party building and production and operations—integrating Party building into enterprise production and operations and embedding it within the governance structure—so that Party building becomes the key to solving problems and high-quality Party building leads high-quality development. Fourth, rigorously carry out rectification of identified problems by establishing a comprehensive, long-term mechanism for identifying and resolving issues, refining and improving corrective measures, and adopting a “nailing-down” approach to focus on targeted remediation efforts, so that employees can truly feel the tangible benefits of the thematic education campaign.

　　Comrade Ren Xiaoping delivered a statement on behalf of the leadership team. He stated that the Party Committee of Huaxin Packaging will steadfastly hold high the great banner of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, conscientiously implement the arrangements made by the Party Committees of Chengtong Group and China Paper Industry, and, in accordance with the requirements of Comrade Huang Xin, refine and improve the corrective measures by addressing the problems identified through self-examination against the Party Constitution and Party regulations, the issues uncovered during the special democratic life meeting, and the feedback received from mutual criticism. Specific deadlines for rectification will be set, responsibilities for implementation will be clearly assigned, and effective follow-through will be ensured. The Party Committee will continue to carry out in-depth thematic education, further strengthen theoretical study and Party spirit cultivation, vigorously promote a work style characterized by rigor, pragmatism, thoroughness, and speed, uphold the political courage to pursue self-reform, reinforce the political commitment to genuine and truthful rectification, and thereby advance Huaxin Packaging’s leapfrog strategic transformation and high-quality reform and development.
