“Stay True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind” — Hongta Renheng Holds a Thematic Lecture on the Spirit of Craftsmanship

　　In accordance with the centralized study and discussion plan for the “Stay True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind” thematic education campaign issued by the Party Committee of Huaxin Packaging, and in order to ensure the solid and orderly implementation of this campaign while fully highlighting role models around us who are dedicated to their work, diligent, and striving for excellence, Hongta Renheng held a thematic lecture on the spirit of craftsmanship under the theme “Stay True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind” on August 8. The lecture was held in the conference room of the Research Building at the Qianshan Plant of Hongta Renheng in Zhuhai, with the participation of all Party members and mid- to senior-level managerial personnel, totaling 130 attendees.

　　To begin, the keynote address on the theme of “the craftsman spirit” was delivered by Che DaoPing, the section supervisor of Production Section 3 and recipient of the 2018 Hongren Craftsman Award. Centering on the concept of “the craftsman spirit,” he offered a profound presentation on how to cultivate it and its underlying meaning. He emphasized that frontline employees must embody steadfastness, practicality, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, as well as the four core qualities of the craftsman spirit—respect, rigor, specialization, and precision—qualities that represent the enduring aspirations and attitude of every true craftsman.

　　Through a video presentation, the lane emphasized the inspiring story of Jiro Ono, Japan’s “Sushi God,” who dedicated 55 years to mastering the art of sushi and became a household name across the country. The message was clear: once you’ve chosen your career, you must devote yourself wholeheartedly, relentlessly hone your skills, and uphold the “artisan spirit” at all times—only then can you truly stand out in your work. He argued that, as a frontline employee, there is no such thing as “close enough” when it comes to quality; if a product fails to meet standards, it simply cannot be delivered, and quality must be rigorously safeguarded. In terms of management, there should be no exceptions for those who violate company policies—disciplinary action must be enforced without compromise. And when it comes to time, employees must adhere strictly to deadlines and never waste a single minute or second.

　　The second speaker on the theme of the “craftsman spirit” was Nie Kun, a pulp-process specialist from the Process Department and recipient of the 2018 Hongren Newcomer Award. Under the theme “Dare to Strive and Grow Rapidly Within the Company,” he elaborated on the importance and key factors of personal growth. To begin, Nie Kun shared his work experience and personal journey since joining the company in 2014, while expressing his gratitude for the nurturing and trust extended by Hongta Renheng, which have enabled him to rapidly develop into a young yet mature pulp-process specialist. Nie Kun believes that the so-called “craftsman spirit” entails continuously cultivating a positive mindset, sound principles, good habits, clear goals, a proactive attitude, and self-discipline.

　　Nie Kun said: “Everyone must face their own shortcomings head-on and constantly push beyond their limits. In the workplace, we should dare to take responsibility, proactively set our own work goals, and continually refine our established approaches and methods. In our interactions with others, it is through patience and attention to small matters that we can achieve great things; we should open our hearts more often, express our views fully, and foster open, candid communication. In daily life, we must be strong and self-reliant, avoid depending on others, manage our time effectively, and commit to lifelong learning and continuous self-improvement. By infusing every moment of our lives with self-discipline and conscious effort, we will, before we know it, experience progress and growth.”

　　Through the thematic lecture on the spirit of craftsmanship delivered by Che Daoping and Nie Kun, we have seen how an outstanding employee can diligently pursue excellence and pay close attention to every detail in an ordinary job, thereby achieving remarkable results. They epitomize the spirit of Huabao employees and serve as role models for all Party members. This thematic lecture is designed to establish a platform for learning and exchange, to implement the thematic education campaign on “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind,” to vigorously promote the power of role models, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship, to foster a positive atmosphere of learning from exemplary model workers, and to encourage all Party members and the broader workforce to take model workers as their exemplars, ground themselves in their respective posts, put the spirit of craftsmanship into practice through concrete actions, and truly contribute their wisdom and strength to the development of the enterprise.
