Hiking in the Sunshine: Now Is the Time for Environmental Protection — Huaxin Packaging Youth League Committee Organizes an Eco-Friendly Hiking Event

On November 3, an eco-friendly hiking event organized by the Youth League Committee of Huaxin Packaging kicked off at the foot of Phoenix Mountain in Zhuhai. The theme of this hike was “Hiking in the Sunshine: Now Is the Time for Environmental Protection,” aiming to promote green and environmentally friendly practices, foster a closer connection with nature, and encourage healthy, eco-conscious travel through the act of hiking itself.

At 9:00 a.m., 35 young members of the Huaxin Packaging Youth League gathered at the entrance to the Changnanjing Ancient Trail on Phoenix Mountain, all uniformly wearing their League badges as they prepared for the hike. The Changnanjing Ancient Plank Road stretches south to Changshawei in Qianshan, Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai, and north to Nanlangwei in Zhongshan, serving as the primary route in ancient times for villagers from Nanlang, Shangzha, Guantang, and other nearby communities to travel between Qianshan and Macau. The best-preserved section today runs from Dongkeng Village in Qianshan to Guantang Village in Tangjiawan Town, spanning approximately 6 kilometers. This stretch was designated in 2018 as one of Guangdong Province’s 11 key routes under the “Nanyue Ancient Post Roads” initiative, and our trek along this historic trail begins right here in Dongkeng Village.

Bathed in the gentle breeze and basking in the sunshine, the young members of the Huaxin Packaging team set off on a hiking expedition. Along the way, laughter and cheerful chatter filled the air; some marched at a brisk pace, showcasing the boundless energy of youth, while others strolled in small groups, savoring the picturesque beauty of nature at their own leisurely rhythm. Throughout the hike, they also took time to pick up litter along the trail.

After a pleasant and relaxing one-and-a-half-hour hike, the event came to a successful close. Participants unanimously agreed that the activity provided an excellent opportunity for young employees to connect with one another and helped them truly appreciate the importance of green development and healthy travel.
