The Group’s Senior Cadre Center Held a Symposium on the Socialized Management of Retirees from State-Owned Enterprises and the 2019 Party Branch Work Conference

On November 12, the Group’s Senior Cadres’ Service Center convened a symposium on social management of retirees from state-owned enterprises and the 2019 Party Branch Work Conference.

Leaders of the Group’s Senior Cadres Center guided all participants in a thorough study of the “Guiding Opinions on the Socialized Management of Retired Employees of State-Owned Enterprises” (Document No. 19 of 2019 issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council) and the “Implementation Plan for Promoting the Socialized Management of Retired Employees of State-Owned Enterprises in Beijing” (Document No. 141 of 2019 issued by the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and the Municipal Finance Bureau). They conveyed the main spirit of the Group’s meeting held on August 1 to advance the socialized management of retired employees, provided an overview of Beijing’s arrangements for receiving socialized services for retired employees, and reported on the progress made by the Senior Cadres Center in launching the socialized management of retired employees in accordance with the Group’s unified deployment. The senior comrades in attendance actively spoke up, expressing their support for the state’s decisions and arrangements regarding the socialized management of retirees, pledging to cooperate fully with the Center in the preliminary work of collecting and organizing relevant information, and raising several questions about their understanding of the spirit of the documents.

This meeting served as both a study and exchange session on the socialized management of retirees from state-owned enterprises, and a mobilization and launch meeting for the Center’s implementation of this initiative. The meeting emphasized that the key to successfully carrying out the transfer of socialized management is to fully solicit the opinions and suggestions of our veteran comrades and effectively address the practical concerns they have. It expressed the hope that all branch committee members will actively engage in explaining relevant policies, take the lead in conducting ideological work among veteran comrades, and ensure that the Center completes the socialized transfer of retirees smoothly, in an orderly manner, and on schedule.

The meeting also provided an update on the Party building and branch-level work conducted in 2019 and outlined the key activities scheduled from now until before the Spring Festival.

Leaders from the Senior Cadre Center, along with nearly 30 party branch secretaries and committee members from nine party branches, attended the meeting.

In pursuit of “high quality,” these cadres are “recharging and building up their capabilities.”
